Please continue to pray

Tomorrow, Wed. March 27, we have a 6pm Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts, followed by a soup supper at 8pm.

Please continue to pray for our parish member who is now home from the hospital but continues to experience serious heart rate fluctuations. Please continue to pray for wisdom in treating this condition and for God’s peace for him and his family.

Please also pray for a parish member who is in surgery today. Pray for God to direct the operation, and for His grace and healing to be with the parish member, and for His peace to be with his family.

**Update: He is out of surgery and recuperating, but has very high pain levels. Please pray for God to grant him relief and rest.

Akathist of the Archangel Gabriel, whom we commemorate today:

O firey-eyed Archangel Gabriel, Herald of the most joyful tidings, we fall down and beseech you: Instruct us and enlighten us to glorify and praise you thus: Rejoice, intercessor before the tri-radiant throne of God. Rejoice, bright beacon of the rays of divinity. Rejoice, banner of the Christian assembly, with which we sing.

Troparion — Tone 4

Gabriel, commander of the heavenly hosts, / we who are unworthy beseech you, / by your prayers encompass us beneath the wings of your immaterial glory, / and faithfully preserve us who fall down and cry to you: / “Deliver us from all harm, for you are the commander of the powers on high!”

Kontakion — Tone 8

Supreme commander Gabriel, / you are the glorious intercessor and servant / before the all-radiant, worthy, all-powerful, infinite and awesome Trinity. / Ever pray now that we may be delivered from all tribulations and torments, / so that we may cry out to you: / “Rejoice, protection of your servants!”
